Samsung Galaxy Camera

I love my tech. Heck, the last time I traveled I took 2 smart phones, 1 camera, 1 smart camera, 2 tablets, and a laptop. It’s safe to say that I am a tech addict. And I just love trying new stuff when I can. Thanks to Verizon Wireless, I had the chance to check out Samsung’s new Galaxy Camera (that smart camera I mentioned), complete with a 4G connection!


This is pretty much the only camera I used the entire time I had it. With a 4G connection, the Android platform, and access to any Android app in the Play Store, I was hooked! In fact, all my Instagram pictures between March 23-May 2 were taken with this camera. (Yes, even the ones that used the PhotoGrid app!)

Wedding photography

I photographed my first wedding last weekend! Well… it wasn’t my first wedding. It was the first wedding I photographed. It was my friends Jessie and David’s wedding.

Remodel Monday – Hanging photos

No, we’re not remodeling anything new. (Phew! That was one heck of a project!) But I am working on doing some decorating in the house, finally! I was inspired to get the ball moving on this by my friend, Jessie. She and her new husband moved into their house 6 weeks ago, and they are already pretty well unpacked, put away, and have curtains hanging and some decorating done. Already.

So I felt a little bit like a slacker.

I entered these photos in the Gibson County Fair open show. Last July. They’ve been sitting here, in my kitchen, right in front of the door, ever since. I see them every time I walk in the house. And every time I see them I think, “I really should get those hung up one of these days.”

Fourth of July Fireworks

Our county is under a burn ban, and there’s a fine for any private fireworks this week. But, lucky for us, we had a planned public display at the Gibson County Fairgrounds last night (LINK). Don’t worry, the fire department was there in spades, and they had taken extra precautions by wetting the ground where the fireworks were being launched.

I didn’t get quite the fireworks photos I was hoping for with my new camera… I need to play with the settings a little more to get better low-light action shots. But, some neat effects anyway!
