This is going to be a new favorite fall dish! Who doesn’t love a fall dinner in the crockpot?
Slice an onion and layer it in the bottom of the crockpot.
Peel, core, and slice two apples and layer them over the onion.
Add about 2 pounds of chicken pieces. I used thighs. You can use breasts. Your choice.
Liberally season with salt and pepper. And… are you ready? I’m going to tell you the secret ingredient… don’t tell anyone! It’s rosemary!
Okay. That’s not so secret. But use some rosemary. Use plenty.
Then mix 1 can of cream of celery soup with 1 can of chicken broth and pour it over the chicken.
Cover, and crock it up on low for 6-8 hours.
I swear, crockpots are magic.
Ta da!
The chicken was so tender it practically fell apart when I touched it with a fork… I think crockpots are my new favorite way to cook chicken!
Serve it over rice. With a salad.
Okay. I didn’t have a salad. But I thought about it. Twice.
